FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
When should I take a childbirth education class?
We recommend that you plan on *completing* your birth class anytime between weeks 30-36 of your pregnancy. If you’re opting to take a multi-week course, make sure to consider that as you search for classes! If you’re still not sure, shoot us an email and we’ll help find the best fit for you!
When should I start looking for a doula?
We encourage you to start inquiring as soon as you think you might want one, or as soon as you think you might want to learn about what a doula does. It can be as early as the first trimester, as late as being in the car on the way to the hospital, or more typically, sometime during your second trimester.
When should I secure postpartum support?
This can be anytime! If you’re unsure about what you might use postpartum support for, you can purchase a package and decide on its use later; you can ask your friends and family to “gift” you some hours; or you can wait until you have baby to see what your needs might be.
How long can postpartum support last?
We offer postpartum support to families during anytime in baby’s first year. You may have family helping you in the beginning, and find that you want more support later into the first year as family heads back home, and your partner heads back to work.
