YOGA & WELLNESS

Our compassionate care philosophy – movement and community are two incredibly important parts of pregnancy. We want you to feel *good* during this time in your life when you’re experiencing so many physical, mental, and emotional changes.

We’ve found that an OB/GYN or midwife will recommend prenatal yoga to help with physical discomforts and emotional stressors. But they also don’t often know exactly what we DO.

We help you navigate the aches and pains of pregnancy by 1) educating and 2) teaching movement. Bring your questions to prenatal yoga class, and your prenatal teacher can offer suggestions or refer you to the appropriate provider.

Our style of teaching Prenatal Yoga is *NOT* just sitting around and stretching. Our philosophy around prenatal yoga is to help you build foundational strength to prepare not just for the challenges of labor, but also to establish a baseline of strength to rely on after you go home with baby.

We help you de-stress, because pregnancy is a lot! This is done through movement, stretching, breathing, and laughing together. The benefit to our classes is a safe, supportive, community space for you to bring your questions, concerns, and celebrations. We also have a private Facebook group just for our Yoga Mommas to keep you all connected in this digital world we’re living in these days, finding and holding onto community where we can.

REAL TALK TRANSLATION:

You don’t have to be a hippie or be able to do all of the “party-trick” yoga poses to benefit from yoga. If you haven’t done yoga before, all you need to do is come to class with an open mind, knowing that our specialized team of prenatal and postnatal yoga teachers know the safest and best ways to help you feel good.

COME FOR THE COMMUNITY,

STAY FOR THE YOGA

What your wants and needs might look like:

My midwife/doctor told me to do prenatal yoga. I’d like to try, but don’t know where to start. Our specialized team of prenatal teachers is familiar with easing pregnant mommas into yoga! We can also make yoga mat and prop recommendations for you.

You are sitting at your home or office desk all day, and your body is *tight*. You’re also exhausted, but a little gentle movement sounds really good right before bed. Our Prenatal Unwind class will set you up for some sweet dreams.

Working on building your postpartum strength back up, but aren’t sure what’s going on with your body? We LOVE helping new mothers build their muscles back in a safe way!

All the prenatal yoga classes I’ve taken so far are really boring and we just sit on the floor stretching. Girl, we will get you moving and sweaty with our Prenatal Strong class – it’s one of our favorites to teach!
